Juan Garcia Zabala back home in Spain — eating alligator

Hello Dan [Davis, Minden Rotarian],

I am Mikaela, Juan’s mom.

I wanted to write you this letter since Juan came back home but last month has been crazy and really busy.

It’s great to have Juan at home and to be again the whole family together. It’s wonderful to hear Juan talking about his american experience, his new friends, his american families, his school, his team, his memories…  I am sure he will never forget this year!!. After his arrival, our daughter Ana is looking forward to going on an exchange and enjoy this rewarding experience.

I think he has grown so much in such a short time, I sent him young and, as you say,  a fine young man came back. For us also has been incredible to have other students from different cultures as part of our family.

He told me about your Rotary meetings  and how helpful you and all Rotary members have been to him.

I encourage Rotary to keep doing the wonderful work it is doing for the students and also their families all over the work

I wanted say thank you so much for all you have done for Juan, for giving him the opportunity to live this experience in Minden, the city in Nebraska that we didn’t know where it was but now we feel so close and we are looking forward to visiting some day. You will always be welcomed to Spain.

Please, I would like you to share my thanks to all Rotary members of your district.

Hope we will be able to meet in the future

Regards

Mikaela
